Malta is a very popular summer destination amongst Europeans but is not known to other travellers. Attend the carnival
Malta has its carnival in February. This tradition has been going on for 500 years. Cruise around the island
If you wish to get a fantastic view of the island, go boating. This would cost €50 per person. The doors tend to stick to specific regions. The citadel was built by the British. It is also referred to as Castello or Cittadella. Visited it was built in the 16th century, but the fortifications have been found to go back over 2000 years. Despite not being known as a diving destination, the island is surrounded by shipwrecks. The water is so clear in certain places that there is excellent visibility. Some popular dive sites are the double arch cave in Gaza, Um El Faroud oil tanker, and the blue hole. A two-person dive package normally starts around 60 euros per person.
Hit the road
If you wish to see Malta, rent a car. There are many remote places for exploration, and having a car will allow you to go wherever you want. You can keep one day for exploring the frail and aging towns. Car rentals are available for as low as €10 per day. Thus, it is an affordable choice if your budget is less and you want to get away from the crowd.
Relax in upper and lower Barrakka gardens
Located in Valetta, these gardens overlook the harbour and make it the perfect spot to watch the entry and exit of boats. If you’re looking for a relaxing location, this is your spot.
You can easily visit Malta even if you do not have a high budget, the public transports are great and do not cost much. The best time to go to Malta is from June to August since the weather is warm.
